The Urban High School Premedical Mentorship Program is sponsored by the Dermatology and Clinical Research Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Fellowship, a part of DermCare Experts and Beacon Clinical Research. Our goal is to provide supportive mentorship for high school students from diverse communities who are interested in medicine, and thus to help develop an early pipeline into medicine for underrepresented populations. Ranging from one to two years in length, depending on the student’s high school graduation date, our program offers a variety of monthly activities including journal clubs as well as guidance sessions about college applications. Each student is matched with a premedical fellow who will meet with them regularly and hopefully form a longer-lasting professional relationship.

We strongly encourage community groups such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America, YMCA, and church groups to refer their youth interested in health care to our program.
