Program Description:
Premedical Fellows led bi-weekly life skill workshops to help Boston youth in YMCA’s Youth Achievers apply for college and navigate the financial aid process. Additionally, fellows held career clusters to help young people explore the diversity of careers in science, biotechnology, and medicine through presentations and group projects. This culminated in a student-led M&M’s Rainbow science project and poster presentation showcased at the YMCA Achievers End of Year Celebration. This initiative not only empowered the participants with essential life skills but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the wide array of careers within the fields of science, biotechnology, and medicine.
